WHY DO I DO THIS?:
When my wife, laura was 16 she was diagnosed with acute lymphoma.
She went through a brutal time with chemo and full body radiation and it almost killed her.
4 or 5 years later she came to california where I met her and we fell in love.
We found that she had come out of remission and it scared the hell out of her.
Most men (about 80% by actual statistic) would have called off every thing and just left. (shallow self centered assholes).
I wanted to be there for her no matter what.
I have been kick around a lot in my life and I finally found someone that I loved and that loved me and I wasn't about to lose that.
Through about 9 months of chemo as her primary care giver, running her back and forth to Stanford and almost loosing my job because of a heartless discompasionate boss at ford aerospace we were married 2 weeks after her last treatment.
She has been in remission since then from the lymphoma.
A few years ago a malignant tumor was found in her breast and a mastectomy was the course of action.
Laura has been involved with the leukemia/lymphoma society "team in training" programme for almost 10 yrs running marathons and doing cross country biking and hiking as fund raising.
She is my love and my hero and I love her more than my own life.
LIFE IS SHORT.
